Hello, I am Matthew.

I may start a new thread every episode, just to make this confessional a mess, which I don't necessarily like, but it will be fun to see the number of threads go up on the front page. I will label my threads properly so no worries, it will look relatively organized.

I came here to win the game. I usually win at every game I play and I am a successful businessman so I am not worried about anything. Well, I won't be able to make it to the first immunity challenge because it's my Sunday 6AM and since I have a partner I cannot wake up at that time on a Sunday. I will hopefully be fine though. I am Matthew Sash Lenahan so why worry you know? At least I won't go down as the inactive who didn't do anything.

I wrote this confessional, I wished Jim happy birthday, I got contacted by Benry who said hello, I exchanged a few PMs with Whitney who is from the same country as me, and uhm that's it for now. No strategy discussions involved in any of them, but I'm sure people will see what kind of an asset I can be to their alliance and I am confident that I will win this game. Like I do at everything, except for Survivor Nicaragua but uhm yeah I'm here for revenge, obviously.

Episode #0

Oh well, I decided to do things in one thread (for now at least). I don't want to make to much of a mess of this.

That was a little scary. I had no chance of making it to the start of the challenge and when I came on three out of four tribes had been formed already. I'm part of the La Flor tribe now which is ok but I think the fact that we are the last nine to make it to the game means we may have a bunch of lamos/inactives. That would suck, but at least I know that I can be a great asset so that should sorta keep me safe until there is some sort of a merge or tribe swap.

I love that we are going to be the invisibles. I mean, there's no way to see our yellow name on the yellow background and it may sort of help us to hide ;D So yeah it's gonna be fun, hopefully.

As far as the people on my tribe. I sorta know Kelly B from some big brother games and me and Whitney talked a bit because we are both from The Netherlands which is kinda interesting. I'm looking forward to meeting the other people as well.

Ah that's good; or, well, on a week day it would be relatively OK as it's my 6am. Times between 6PM and Midnight EST will be the hardest for me.

Episode #1

Hello... so... this is probably going to be a very short adventure for me. It's a pity, but I can't really help it, nor can the host. It's just unfortunate that I am in a different time zone and that challenges are (semi-)live (which is totally fine but are not really suited for me). I've had to deal with live challenges in the past and I've felt like I am a liability to my tribe as well in the past so it is totally fine. This is only my fourth survivor game and in the other three I made it quite far partly due to the fact that there were a lot of 24 hour challenges. I'm not gonna act like they should keep me or anything, because I don't think that would be fair towards the people who can be active at the given times. I know from myself that I am active and that I can do well, but like I said, not at the given times.

So yeah I am just honest and upfront about my 'handicap' and they can do with it whatever they want. If we only have to send away one person for example and if someone else is inactive without letting them know, maybe they respect my honesty about it and maybe that will be a reason for them to keep me. I'm not gonna push too hard you know. Maybe people want to use me for my vote, that would be cool too. It is what it is and I'm enjoying every minute of this game. I just don't want to be a liability and I know that I am going to be one.

Hopefully this won't be my last confessional (I guess not because I usually write my thoughts on things in here), but we'll see how it goes.

Tribal Council #1

So here we are, first tribal council... Hopefully it won't be my last, but honestly I don't know. Three of us will be sent home and I could easily be one of them. I did give the challenge a try, but it was early morning, I didn't read carefully, and I had to leave the house anyway so there was no way I could have done a good job on this (until now - just arrived at home). Others posted back to back within less than 5 minutes too so that's probably why I did it wrong...

It didn't matter. At. All. Three people didn't even show up. They were Yve, Kelly B, and Marty. I think that I will be more of an asset than them, but I don't know if my tribe will think the same. I believe Yve has been pretty social, so bringing her name up will be risky. I want her to go though. I pm'ed her the password but didn't hear anything from her. We did try to get a conversation going twice, but she was too busy so we never really talked. Since she didn't thank me for the password I want her to go, as simple as that.

I think I will be voting for Kelly B, Marty, and Whitney, since that may increase my chances of staying. As much as I like Whitney, she doesn't know how to do paint stuff. Like, seriously? We can't really have that and since her and I have the same time zone issue I think I may be more of an asset than her. Kelly and Marty haven't posted or done anything at all, so they can go too. I'm not sure if we vote three times or not, but these are the names that I have in mind.

I thought there was no way to survive a three way tribal council, but with this tribe I honestly don't even deserve to go. Maybe next time, but not this time. If I go it's my own fault for not being social enough and for posting that stuff about my time zone, but then so be it. Not gonna give up til I'm gone!

Tribal Council #1 ~ Continued

So anyone thinking I'm giving up? Just read my conversation with Albert. Things are definitely going to change here. We talked for a bit, got to know each other ~ nice guy for sure. Then we started talking about the vote. I suggested Marty, just because I thought that was the most obvious boot. Then he said he would like to keep me, but that him and Kelly B are discussing voting Yve. If you read my previous confessional: I want her gone. How awesome is this?

Albert believes that Dan/Shannon/Brian may want me gone because of my honest post. Could be, could be. I at least talked to them for a bit so if they value someone having a social game than I may be in better shape than others. Anyway, the guy wants to keep me and boot Yve. He asked me if I wanted to vote with him and if I wanted to be aligned with him. FOR SURE. I'm all for this, the guy is totally awesome and I mean this.

The plan is that Kelly B gets Marty on board with it, and that I will PM Whitney to see what she's thinking. It's not gonna be the strongest group of people working together honestly, but it's survivor and if we're going to pick off the weak then I'll be gone this round.

So ya like I said, I'm not giving up. I started a conversation with Albert and it may be the thing that saves me this round. It would be pretty awesome if we can pull this off.

Tribal Council #1 ~ Continued (2)

Whitney is on board with voting Yve. That's awesome. She is sorta all over the place with some of the things she does (like the post in TC) and Albert and me had to take care of it, but at least she's active and fun to talk to. I'm kinda worried that her mouth may get us in trouble at some point, but we'll take it round by round now.

First priority is getting rid of Yve, and that won't be easy. We know that Whitney, Kelly B, Albert, and me are on board, but we will need Marty himself. I think Marty will side with us no matter what, but we'll have to get a hold of him or else he will self-vote and all the Yve voters will look bad.

So yeah a couple of things happened today; I tried to convince Whitney and needed quite a number of PMs for that. Sorry that I can't copy paste the conversations but they were in Dutch (this never happened to me before lol so it's a whole new experience, communicating in Dutch in a game). I also exchanged a few pms with Albert. Anyone who says haha or hahaha in their pms is totally cool, seriously I also talked to Shannon and Brian for a bit. They wanted Marty out as expected, but I know for a fact that they have me as their next target. They won't say it, but they don't say they want me to stay either and they don't talk about the next vote. Obviously they want me gone. I've been social with them (sorta... I know that I'm not the most fun person to talk to) and I gave Brian the password, so I don't think they should treat me like this. I'm gonna lie my pants off in this game to get myself further (this round at least).

So yeah I'm not celebrating anything yet, because Marty could go and then it's gonna be hard to survive the other two votes. I hope I don't bore the host to tears with all my confessionals, but on the other hand - compared to the lack of confessionals of others - you may even feel a little sorry to see me go if I go

Tribal Council #1 Part #2

Oh wow, Yve is gone, I am still here, Marty's still here, and this alliance of five is going to do a great job in this game. I am so happy we were able to pull this off. I do feel bad for lying to Yve, but she was too late with her attempt to dominate this game. Too late. I should have been honest perhaps, but oh well. She hates me, and I kinda like that. She's probably spreading all kind of stuff about me and she blocked me on AIM It's all fine. She gave me a huge compliment actually:

Sash - A lying traitor who needs to go before he betrays everybody on this tribe.

Getting such a comment feels like winning a trophy, an award. I went from a brutally honest man to a lying traitor in one day. I know that I am a snake and that people hate me and are going to hate me even more in the future. It's gonna be ridiculous, but did I ever say that I was ready to go? Nope! I wasn't the weakest link on this tribe and I deserved to stay. I got my way and I am happy with it. This really feels like a great accomplishment. My smirk is getting ridiculous right now.

This round it seems like my alliance wants Brian gone. It wouldn't be my first choice as he is ok and experienced and active which could help in the challenges, but others see him as a threat. I don't think he is more threatening than others, we've all played games before, we've all been there. Anyway, it's fine if he goes.

Tribal Council #1 Part #3

Brian is gone. It looks like all departing players are going to be extremely bitter. It's fine, I would be as well and given the circumstances it's understandable. I can add this quote of Brian to my accomplishments:

I haven't had the opportunity to assess everyone's performance, but Sash & Shannon are probably the biggest assets to our tribe right now.

It sucks that he wants me to go pre-merge, but oh well he's gone. He was a cool guy. Shannon is cool too, but he is going home tonight. Like, he probably would have stayed had he not scrambled like CRAZY. He really scrambled like crazy, talking for hours about how people who did not show up at the challenge would have to go home. He tried to get me and Albert on board in voting Marty out, but there was no way he was going to accomplish it. Albert is right, they never approached him or Kelly B or Marty so their strategy to vote those people out is legit. Albert gave me the impression that I should stay, so that's why I chose to side with them rather than with Brian and Shannon who most likely wanted me gone. It's survivor, and although I don't think Shannon deserves to go, it's the alliance of five that is in control now. I would have pushed for him to stay had he not scrambled, and Dan may have gone home.

I would usually hate it when active people are targeted, but like I said, I understand the reasoning behind it. It must especially suck for the host though to see a tribe function like this and then seeing active and interesting people go, but I'll try to contribute as much in order to make up for it a little bit

If we have to vote out three people again next TC I'm not sure how it's going to go. Dan will go first. I think Whitney should go second then, I would hate to see her go but her mouth could get in our way like big time. Third could be me, could be Marty. I hope Albert is true to his word and wants me to stay at any cost, but if I cannot contribute in the challenge while Marty can, Marty may stay over me. I don't think Kelly B or Albert will be going anywhere. If it's me who goes I will understand of course. I will certainly miss my conversations and scheming with Albert.

Episode #2 & Tribal Council #2

Episode 2... what happened, besides from me being busy during the weekend There was this challenge with uhm, I think it was a ball. I have no clue what it was and I didn't really bother looking at what happened since before I got the chance to read the challenge I saw that Tribal Council was up. We had to vote two people out. The first was, of course, Dan. He wasn't part of our alliance and although I'm sure it is a great guy he just had to go. I think he's thinking he has been way more active and good than the rest of us, but he hasn't. He was just a weak in the challenges and much weaker at the social game, so bye bye Dan.

We're in the middle of the second part of Tribal Council now. Since I had not accomplished anything this round I gave myself the 'award' of being the most trustworthy person. I like it, I am trustworthy and the fact that these people kept me and trust me is a proof of that. We have to vote out one of our own. Let's go back in history a bit...

I think Kelly B and Marty were the first two to talk. Kelly and Marty know each other from pre-game I think, or they met after challenge #0, but I know both of them from another game and they worked together in that game, so there's definitely an early connection between the two of them. Then Albert joined them somehow, and the next day I approached Albert and he proposed an alliance between him/Kelly/me. They thought they had Marty's vote, and since they needed a fifth Albert and me approached Whitney to see if she was interested in voting with us. Then she sorta joined. I feel closest to Albert, he's really treating me like his #1 ally and he is mine, I trust him a 100% and honestly I don't really care about anything else in this game as long as him and I can go far. If at some point I'm voted out the one thing I will miss most is my bond with him. He keeps me motivated and focussed. So yeah when it comes down to voting one of our own out... Kelly and Marty prefer to vote Whitney out I think. So I discussed things with Albert and he is worried about Marty's warning level. I am too. I am pretty much indifferent between Marty and Whitney when it comes to my own game as I just want to help the people who helped me and if I can somehow benefit Albert's game then I have no problems doing so. I was a little afraid that he was a little afraid of me and Whitney being (too) close, but he basically left this vote up to me and said that if I wanted to keep Marty he would do so as well. I think Albert is right about Marty's warning level and I have more of a connection with Whitney, obviously, so we kinda agreed to vote Marty out. I'm not sure if this is going to do any good with Kelly B, but we'll see. I don't think I am going to go anywhere this round.

Episode #3 & Tribal Council #3

Thanks Jess, I really appreciate it! It's my third big achievement in this game and it feels good. Being quoted numerous times in the last challenge felt great too even though we lost. We had no chance really, but this time it wasn't about our activity. The red tribe was just better, that's all. I kinda liked my final attempt at scoring a point by putting a [ /quote] tag in my post. The blockers were really like, wtf is going on. It was enjoyable.

This round is gonna be rough. Four of us are left, two of us go home. I don't know, I just feel thankful that Albert wanted to work with me and I'm gonna leave it up to him. I don't think Whitney and Kelly B are going to vote together, and I'm sticking with him no matter what, so it is actually up to him whether people like it or not. If he wants to go to the next stage with me it's gonna be Kelly going and then Whitney going, I guess. If he wants to go with Kelly then it's going to be Whitney going and then me going. I could force a tie then in the first tribal council, but I don't really feel like choosing someone elses side. I'm on Albert's side. If he wants to stick with Whitney then that's ok too but frankly I don't really see that happening as I think he's closer to me and Kelly. It's not that I'm not gonna fight, it's more like, I don't want to hurt the people I've worked with and especially not Albert, so I'm gonna adapt to whatever works for them.

After accomplishing all these things and after meeting such fun people the game has definitely been a success for me, whether I survive or not.
