Confessional #5: Whispers Among the Family

I'm sad I couldn't be here when the challenge started. I'm sure it would have saved a lot more headaches. This was one challenge that NuEspada could have won, but like with a lot of challenges in the past, I was the key factor to the win. Our tribe was easily falling behind NuEspada with the uploading pictures. Luckily for my tribe, I've faced and conquered this challenge in the past. The problem is that when I destroyed the wall, I did it from top to bottom. They started destroying the wall from the bottom to the top. Rupert was on the scene working the previous thread with me. Suddenly, I started seeing flashbacks of that awful challenge. I did not want to stay there for the entire night posting, stop to make and upload pictures, and resume posting. I pulled Rupert to the side and told him about my images I had. It was an extremely risky plan to scratch the progress that was already done and do the challenge all over again. I was nervous about being blamed if we lost the challenge. Slowly, more people started to show up, Jud and Alina. I sent them the link to my photobucket account so that they could start anew. I had to step out for a moment and when I came back, Semhar took over for Alina. Semhar and Jud were flying through the challenge. Everyone seemed grateful to have pre-uploaded images of each individual brick being taken off. They commented on how fast the challenge was moving from that point and they even let me have the final post.

Thanks to my work from the previous season, our tribe won immunity. It's seriously becoming possible that our tribe can make it to the merge with nine players. I'm think there will be one more challenge after NuEspada votes off two more of their members. However, with another victory comes worries within our own little family. Semhar has voiced her opinion to me about Clarence. She said that he's basically getting a free ride to the merge with little effort. She worries that he will either flip at the merge, or begin to go all out in the individual challenges. Personally, I doubt Clarence could pull off winning any immunity challenge, but I do think he might flip if given the chance. Rupert is another one I'm shady about. If we do have to go to Tribal Council before the merge, I would like to get Rupert voted off first while throwing votes towards Clarence. Then we could vote him off in the second Tribal Council. Those two are the ones that I feel aren't the most loyal. I also doubt Jud, but for now, I'm fine with him.

It's very interesting to receive information from Jill about what is happening in NuEspada. She will just keep venting about losing every immunity challenge and keep having to dodge bullets. She's given me plenty of good dirt about her tribe that will be very helpful at the merge. The players on her tribe that have idols are Kelly, Albert, and Jim(x2). Honestly, I think if I was on their tribe, I would be looking forward to having idols at the merge. That way, they'd be able to protect as many people as possible and force Savaii numbers to drop. But I believe Jill is just trying to survive and certainly Kelly will try what she is will to do to keep her numbers safe. Based on everything that has been happening, Kelly is running the show over there. Kelly had screwed over Jill's plans for the numbers several times over. She refused to vote off anyone else except for Elyse when she DQed herself in the Bag challenge. Then she lied to Jill and voted off Jane which threw egg in Jill's face for being the only one to vote with her. Kelly has painted the target on Jill's back and force her to basically depend on Kelly. It's clear that Kelly's only intention is to keep people who will work with her around. Jill has said that Kelly is close with Holly. From what I've been hearing, there has been plans to blindside Jim this Tribal Council and take out two of his idols. There will be either two things happening, Jim gets blindsided or Jim plays one of his idols and Jill gets voted off. Either way, it's a win-win for me and my fellow Savaii members. I certainly would like to convince Jim to play his idol and turn the votes on Kelly so her idol will be thrown out. But I know to butt out of of their business and let them do their thing. I have to focus on my tribe so that I can be safe when we eventually have to go to Tribal Council, either before or at the merge.

EHmatus88 (11:26:47 AM): personally, if I was on NuEspada, I'd use the idols as a bargaining chip to stick around to the merge. having a lot of idol will make surviving the 1st merge TC easier

So I have a F3 deal for myself and Wendy with both Semhar and Tyrone. I know this could easily blow up in my face being sneaky, but I have to make moves to secure Wendy and my place on the tribe.
